(Santiago, March 12th, 2020).- TransFest third version will be on March 21st of the current year from 11:00 to 20:00 hrs. at Parque Quinta Normal, along with the support of El Desconcierto, Map8 ONG and Chueca Bar.
OTD Chile organizes TransFest every two years since 2015. However, in 2019 because of the social outbreak in Chile, it was decided to postpone this event until March 2020 because of the trans visibility month.
TransFest is the only and first Chilean festival that wants depathologize trans identities where the audience besides enjoy live music shows and different art expressions will be able to know and get informed about diversities and dissidences at the fair of assisting organizations.

This year will be performing artists such as Kamon Kamon Kamon, Priscila Vierling, Flor de Loto (Stand up Comedy), Tadzzio, Ned Quintana, Irving Gutiérrez and Andras. On the other hand, presenting at this show will be the journalists Jaime Coloma and Alejandra Valle, the recognized youtuber David Nicolás Montoya, the writer Gabriel Ignacio, and Kris Córdova Coordinator of OTEDUCA, among other assistants and allies defending human rights. There will also be a mini theater Carromata LambeLambe.
Michel Riquelme, trans non-binary activist and Executive Coordinator of OTD Chile says “we are happy to finally make the third version of this festival that we’ve been waiting for months. We thank to every person and organizations who kept supporting and participating on the production. As always, TransFest is a social platform open to the trans and cis community who may want to reunite, share, and talk about issues affecting and summoning us”.
Williams Viveros, ally of OTD and producer of TransFest says that “every year is special, and we want to celebrate this unique festival in Chile, where at the beginning it was celebrated the right to be and every day we are more ambitious, that’s why this year we also want to emphasize that identities have no borders. For the musical show we always have the participation of big artists and allies who work with us, from volunteers to consecrated musicians. The spirit doesn’t change, but we have a better structure every time”.
It is important to say that the official poster was designed by the illustrator Camila Palaveccino, who says “I wanted to transmit the contention and support sensation existing inside the OTD community. Representing in some way the love and respect that there is in this network formed by everybody. I think it is one of the nicest things I was able to learn from friends is that you’re not alone”.
In this way, OTD Chile invites the whole community to participate on the TransFest 2020, to fight for a place where all can belong accepting our differences.
